不知道在台灣的學子們有沒有當過實習生的經驗呢?在國外,大公司的實習生職位,可是大家搶破頭也要得到的一份工作呢!雖然有些實習工作是沒有支薪的,但是只要能夠表現優異,絕對是有可能在結束後,順利成為正式員工的呢!




這部片雖然有種給人太過置入性行銷的感覺,不過以整部片描述的情境,Google還真的是一個令人嚮往到不行的公司呢!有志青年們,快衝吧!努力工作、盡情揮灑青春吧!





小編年輕的時候當過無薪實習生,那段日子雖然很辛苦,工作量大,矇懞懂懂去上了班,發現身邊的老鳥們各各身經百戰,第一天就嚇得我想要逃跑,好險後來靠著一股好勝心撐了下來,現在回想起來,從那份實習工作,抱走了前輩們好多的實戰經驗呢!這邊鼓勵年輕的同學們,剛出社會不要太計較薪水,能夠得到經驗才是最無價的!

  • torpedo [tɔrˈpido] (v.) 1. 用魚雷襲擊(或擊中、擊沈) 2. 使徹底完蛋。

  • defy [dɪˈfaɪ] (v.) 違抗、反抗、不服從。

        Example: This was the first (and last)time that I dared to defy my mother.

 

  • coveted [ˈkʌvɪtid] (adj.) 人人嚮往的。

        Example: He won one of sport's most coveted trophies.

 

  • battalion [bəˈtæljən](n.) (尤指有組織、有特定任務)一大群、一大批。

        Example: There were battalions of highly paid publicists to see that such news didn't make the press.

 

  • utopia [juˈtopiə] (n.) 烏托邦、理想國、理想的完美社會。

        Example: Everyone has a dream that one day they can reach Utopia.

 

  • savvy [ˈsævi] (adj.) 有見識的、具有實際知識的、有經驗的。

        Example: This time, they are adopting more politically-savvy strategies.

John Goodman: 現在所有的東西都電腦化了。

 

  • computerize [kəm'pju:təraɪz] (v.) 用電腦控制(系統、作業)、使電腦化。

        Example: The firm has decided to computerize its wages department.




Sometimes the long shots pay off the biggest!

有時候不可能做到的事反而帶來更大的成功!

 

  • long shot [lɔŋ ʃɑt] (n.) 比喻不太可能發生或做到的事。(射槍的時候,距離越遠,打中機率越低)

        Example: We could ask the company to replace your broken smartphone for free. It's a long shot, but it's worth trying.

 

  • pay off [pe ɔf] (p.v.) 成功、贏利。

        Example: Sandra was determined to become a doctor and her persistence paid off.
