算是說臉很臭，讓大家不開心的人。

也可以用來說很愛抱怨的人。

Nay  =  不

所以是說一個人很愛唱反調、不合群，所以當然就很掃興。

7.  That's such a downer.

可用來說掃興的人 或 事。

8.  The rain put a damper on our picnic.

Damp 也是潮濕的意思，所以跟上面一樣，是澆熄熱情的東西。
