相信這部電影對許多6年級而言，是夢幻懈逅的最佳範本。對於許多懷抱夢幻的美國少女們，這就是夢想！至於對小編我來說，有著那一年冒險的美好回憶。第一次自己計劃旅程、第一次自己去旅遊…好多的第一次。西雅圖，是個美麗的城市，有著小而美的環境。電影中的Pike Market及全世界第一家的Starbucks都好有味道喔！希望大家有一天能夠在拜訪這個城市時，到這些景點走走逛逛，體會電影中的浪漫情節。

Tom Hanks starsas widower and single father Sam. When Sam's son, Jonah, callsinto a talk radio program looking for a new mother, Sam ends up getting on thephone and laments about his lost love. Thousands of miles away, Anniehears the program and immediately falls in love with Sam, despite thefact that she has never met him and that she is engaged to humdrumWalter. Believing they are meant to be together, Annie sets out forSeattle to meet Sam.

Tom Hanks扮演了一位鰥夫及單親爸爸名為Sam。當Sam的兒子Jonah打電話到電台去幫自己找個新媽媽的時候，結果Sam竟然在電話中哀悼他逝去的愛情。在幾千英哩以外，Annie聽到了這個節目並且立即地愛上了Sam，儘管她根本從來沒見過他，而且她還已經跟一位乏味的人訂婚了。相信他們注定要在一起，Annie動身前往Seattle去見Sam。

My shrink. Call him.
我的心理醫師。打給他。

“shrink”是指心理醫師(psychologist)，是一個很口語的說法，常常在美國電影或影集裡面可以聽得到。
Example: I've seen a shrink already.

Harold, who ran off with his secretary.
那個跟他秘書私奔的Harold。

假如你“run off with someone”，表示你偷偷的離開為了要跟那個人生活在一起或是結婚。
Example: The story goes that he's runoff with his secretary, but I can't believe it, can you?

My head swells up like a watermelon.
我的頭腫的跟一個西瓜一樣。

“swellup”有膨脹、腫起的意思。
Example: You'd better walk around, oryour feet will swell up.

“swellup” 更擴大的廣義則為感到自豪或自傲。
Example: Jame's heart can easily swellup enen by passing the examination.

I wouldn’t kick this guy out of bed for eating crackers; You know what I’m saying?
我不會因為這個男的在床上吃餅乾，就把這個人從床上踢出去。你懂我的意思吧？。

“Youknow what I’m saying?”是一個很普遍的說法，目的在與對話者確認，有”Do you understand what Imean”的意思。
Example: I will not fire Jake justbecause he is always late to work. He has been a royal employee to this company. You know what I’msaying?

I’ll take you to Chinatown for Dim Sum.
我會帶你去唐人街吃”飲茶”。

“DimSum”是直譯，就是點心的意思，就是再說我們華人的那些小點心。
Example: These dumplings are originallyShanghaies so they are not considered traditional Cantonese dim sum.
